1955 – F.H. (Bud) Rowat established F.H. Rowat Insurance.

1982 – F.H. Rowat’s daughter, Jane and her husband John Melloul joined the brokerage.

1988 – F.H. Rowat sold the business to Jane and John Melloul, and continued to work in the business until his death in 1997.

1989 – F.H. Rowat Insurance purchased MacLean & Slevin Insurance.

1992 – Roger Kaupe, a son-in-law of F.H. Rowat, joined the brokerage.

1995 – F.H. Rowat Insurance purchased Gordon Paul Insurance.

1997 – F.H. Rowat Insurance purchased the Ontario clients of McColgan Insurance.

1998 – Andrew Rowat, nephew of F.H. Rowat, joined the brokerage.

2000 – F.H. Rowat Insurance opened an office in Fort Coulonge, Quebec.

2005 – F.H. Rowat Insurance opened an office in Ottawa; Anna Melloul granddaughter of F.H. Rowat joined the brokerage.

2007 – F.H. Rowat Insurance opened an office in Aylmer, Quebec and purchased the office of E.M. Milne Insurance.
- 2008 - F.H. Rowat insurance negotiated the purchase of the Ottawa insurance brokerage of Baxter, Bennett & Publow Insurance. Operations to be merged in January 2009.
